If glorifying an abhorrent not to mention illegal procedure is required look no further than the New York Times.  The NYT does its best to portray Volunteers for the Safe Abortion Hot Line as victims in this story Taking Calls on Abortion, and Risks, in Chile.  These innocent looking volunteers want to provide information necessary for daily callers in the event they do decide to break the law and have an illegal abortion.  That doesn’t sound too bad does it?  Its called “aiding and abetting”  The NYT also leaves nothing to chance as they point out that these self-righteous volunteers  choose to wear masks as a form of protection.  From what I have no idea but it sure does make for an interesting misrepresentation.

The Times effectively vilifies the illegal nature of abortions in Chile while identifying those countries that approve of their own killings.  Countries included are Uruguay, Guyana and Cuba.  The liberal Times also makes a point to take a stab at conservatism by linking it to the current president of Chile.  Looks as if they hit all talking points in this article.

Support for Abortion would not be complete without someone from Women on Waves spouting a few callous statements.  Rebecca Gomperts of Women on Waves is quoted below as saying,

Misoprostol “is a revolution for women.”  “Even where abortion is illegal and women don’t have a doctor, or they are poor, they still have a way to do a safe abortion.”

Using the poor to support the same tired liberal argument we’ve heard for years.  She identifies a magic pill that provides a safe way to properly murder your baby.  Kudos to Rebecca for her efforts in saving the lives worthy of living.
