Twenty-two years after Trevor Webb passed Cathy Knorr a note reminding her of his unwavering feelings for her in the sixth grade, he repeated his affection in a formal wedding vow this past October.

Headlined ‘DON’T LET ANYONE SEE THIS,’ the once intricately folded sheet of notebook paper was displayed at the couple’s Pensacola, Florida ceremony after miraculously surviving a test of time – as well as the boy’s patience for his future bride.

‘Dear Cathy, I still like you and I still want you to go with me,’ the handwritten note begins.

‘I know Brad likes you. Please decide who you’re going to go with. Think hard and let me know your decision. I’ll be standing at the end of this hall and the beginning of the other hall. Meet me there as soon as school’s out and you can tell me. Sincerely, Trevor.’

‘I did meet Trevor at the end of the hallway and told him I would go out with [him],’ the now Mrs Webb told the Huffington Post of his first offer while grade school students at Ferry Pass Middle School in 1990.

Unfortunately for Trevor at the time, their courtship lasted a mere two weeks before another middle schooler caught Cathy’s eye, stealing her away from him.

‘He playfully reminds me from time to time, “you broke my heart and dumped me for Alex Norris!”‘

‘I wish I had come to my senses sooner,’ she says of the next 16 years.
