I can’t believe the arguments already forming with pro-abortion zealots defending Carhart, and reducing this woman to a standard deviation; pushing this all under the rug. Meanwhile, a woman who died after being denied an abortion in Ireland is becoming the focal point of a country-wide revolt against pro-life legislation and policy.

I’ve heard abortion supporters so often claim that they “really are pro-life.” They claim to be “pro-quality of life” “pro-women” “pro every woman” but it is heart-breakingly clear where they stand. One woman’s life means nothing when abortion killed her. One woman’s life means everything when abortion was denied her.

Every life matters. Every person is vital. Every woman is perfectly created by God and worthy of love, deserving of the utmost protection and care. It is a tragedy when any woman dies in the care of a physician, Savita Halappanavar, a 29 year-old mother, and every single one of the thousands of women who die at the hands of physicians every day inside their mother’s womb.
