MTV is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for longest team dance marathon at the legendary Roxy Theatre on L.A.’s Sunset Strip.
At 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, the network is will kickoff a 24-hour livestream of the marathon on omusicawards.com to promote inclusivity and raise money for several LGBT organizations. Expected guests include Shangela (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”), Peta Meragatroyd (“Dancing with the Stars”) and We R Heroes (“America’s Best Dance Crew”).
Lady Gaga is in India, of course, performing at a non-drag race, so she can’t be there.
The goal is to break the world record during Monday’s O Music Awards, which celebrates the artists, fans and innovators impacting digital music culture.
Innocence, regardless of distinction warrants protecting.
